Grand marquis and taurus?

trying to buy a used car, and currently comparing 1998 mercury grand marquis LS and 2001 ford taurus. There have almost the same mileages on them which is around 70K, and the prices are also relevant, asking for 45K dollars. Currently I am still indecisive. It seems like Taurus has a little bit better in MPG, but in terms of reliability grand marquis is better. And grand marquis' riding quality is also better than than Taurus. However, grand marquis seems to be an old person's car, and Taurus has more style. Can someone here give me any suggestions and advices?
