Is cooking good to ask someone out?

Im a guy, so lay off. I'm really into this girl and I've been told so many times that i am a great cook when it comes to pastries so far. So since i'm still like 15 is it a little too wierd to ask a girl out with say... a cheesecake with a crust heart atop it at her doorstep? Or does it depend on the girl? Am I going to fast? Or what?
