I've been playing hockey on my parent's pond for a month now, shoveling the pond every time I go out. I recently took a week off to let my skate groves in the ice fill in, but in that week we got a freezing rain shower right after some snow. Now there is that crusty snow ice on top of at least 2 feet of good ice. Shoveling would not get rid of it, no matter how much elbow grease I put into it. How can I remove it?
