Important question about pet rabbit please help?

we have one male rabbit he is a one year old and he has been "snipped". we are considering getting another rabbit as a companion. we will be buying a new much bigger hutch, will our rabbit be too territorial? my concern is that he will reject the new rabbit and they will fight.
