Opinions wanted.. black too harsh for a wedding?

As a guest you can wear any colour you want as long as it's not white. Through, we're getting into spring so you probably won't see a lot of other women wearing black at weddings this time of year (unless it's a black and white wedding of course). Still, you won't be breaking any etiquette by wearing it.
