Short romance swift end?

I met a guy at a wedding he was the father of the bride in Greece. Then we met again at the wedding party in the UK, for the family over here. He comes from Derby about 1 hour away from where I live.He asked me out on a date and he travellled to me. We had a wonderful 10 hours together but we did not have . We kissed. He has just had a marriage break up back in november. The week before the date we comunicated via text and phone calls and all was going well and he was very attentive towards me. When he got back to Derby he had alot of trouble from both his older children that live with him. This was not connected to the date that we had. He then subsequently text me to say that he was not ready for a relationship at this time. It was a nice text and we talked a few times after about his children and what went on. After that he stopped all communication with me. I wrote to him and there was still no response. It was not a mushy letter I just wanted to let him know that I understood his situation. Again there was no response. I am feeling confused,let down and very sad about it all.As we had a conection. Thought he was the 1, what can i do if anything. im very picky and have not had alot ov relationships, 1 marrage that lasted 25 years.been on my own for 5 years had 2 boyfriends in that time. This is his second marrage lasting 17 years.Should i wait for him or move on?
