Should i dye my hair with a demi permanent hair dye the day after i got highlights?

my sister dyed my hair last night and did to much highlights and i HATE it... we when to sally's today and got some demi permanents hair dye ... willl thiss work !?!? i am in need of major expertice... or you opinion
