When will my SSI backpay arrive?

I am due for my second installment of backpay this month. Today is the first of the month, and the only check I received was the regular monthly payment. Does the backpay usually come on the first of the month, or will it arrive anytime during the month? I was really counting on that money. Anyone with any experience in this, please help! Thank you.
