It is just me, or is John Mccain an awful politician?

He doesn't understand many fundamental facts about the two most important issues of our day, Iraq and the economy. He frequently confuses Sunnis and Shiites, he doesn't understand that the Anbar Awakening happened before the surge, he frequently mangles Obama's positions on Pakistan and Afghanistan, and he refuses to explain what "victory" in Iraq means. In addition he himself has admitted he doesn't understand economics, and has changed his position on balancing the budget so many times its laughable (none of said positions make any sense). I could keep going but i think this alone should make anyone question voting for this guy. I am an independent but i cant understand why anyone thinks he would be a good president accept that people are so partisan that they are blind to the facts.
