Cop is lying in court what can I do?

Hi, It sure couldn't hurt to let the Judge know that you are seeking a career in law enforcement. I had something similar happen to me. These officers confied my truck for no reason. I was moving and when I went to get the truck, it was empty. No one knew what happened to my belongings, including all my jewelry and heirloom silverware and silver service. They said they took the truck because they thought I'd stolen the things. However, the officers were written up by Internal Affairs. If there was any action taken by Internal Affairs that would be an indicator that they weren't on the up and up. Please keep doentation. Write down everything you can remember from the start of the incident to the end including up to the date of the closure of the case. Doentation goes long way in the courts. It shows you're not making statements and facts up as you go along. I worked in the Family Court system for 25 years and know that doentation works! Character witnesses help especially when they are someone like a teacher, minister, or a professional person. It's a shame that things like this happen. There are good cops out there. The few that joined the force because they have no power or control in their lives use the power of this profession to fulfill that need. They make it bad, not only for their 'brothers' but, for the public also. JOSA
